What we collect
When you sign up, we collect:
- Your email address (so we can send you the newsletter)
- The topics you picked (crime, civic, business, sports, events, education) — so we know what to send
- The UTM parameters in your sign-up URL (if any) — so we know which channel brought you here (Reddit, FB group, etc.)
We don't collect your name, phone, address, IP, or any other personal info.
How we use it
- To send you a Welcome email confirming your sign-up
- To send you a follow-up email after the 3-week validation period (success / failure update)
- If we launch the product: to send you the personalized newsletter you signed up for
Who we share it with
No one.We don't sell, rent, or share your email with any third party.
We use two service providers to operate the site, and your email passes through them as part of normal operation:
- Supabase (PostgreSQL database) — stores your subscription record
- Resend (email delivery) — sends the Welcome and follow-up emails
Both are reputable SaaS providers with their own privacy policies.
How to unsubscribe
Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. Click it and your subscription is marked inactive. We don't fully delete the record (in case you change your mind), but we won't send you any more email.
If you want your record completely deleted, email lucas.keepwalk@gmail.com and I'll handle it within 7 days.
PIPEDA compliance
This site complies with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). We collect the minimum necessary information, get your consent before sending email, and let you withdraw consent at any time.
