Brandon Summer Festivals — Complete List

Brandon's summer runs short — late June through August — and a lot gets packed in. Some festivals are decades old institutions; others come and go. Here is the honest list, in roughly seasonal order. Dates shift year to year, so always confirm against the official source before driving across town.

June

Brandon Summer Fair (early June) — Five-ish days at the Keystone Centre, run by the Provincial Exhibition. Midway, agricultural shows, evening entertainment, demolition derby. Family- friendly.

National Indigenous Peoples Day (June 21) — Community events at the Riverbank Discovery Centre and various locations across Brandon.

July

Canada Day at Princess Park (July 1) — Live music, food vendors, activities, fireworks at dusk. The single biggest Canada Day event in Brandon.

Riverbank Summer Concert Series (Friday nights) — Free outdoor concerts at the Riverbank Discovery Centre through July and August. Local and touring acts.

August

Westman Multicultural Festival— Three days celebrating Westman's cultural communities. Multiple pavilions with food, dance, music. Tickets / passes required for the pavilion circuit. One of the highlight events of Brandon's summer.

Brandon Pride— Brandon's Pride parade and community events. Schedule varies year to year — usually late summer.

Folk Music & Art Festival — Schedule shifts; in some years runs in August, others late summer/early fall.

Antique Steam Threshing & Stampede (Austin, ~1 hour east) — Worth the drive. Long-running prairie heritage event late July / early August.

Westman regional (worth the drive)

Manitoba Sunflower Festival (Altona) — Late July.

Dauphin Countryfest (Dauphin) — Massive country music festival, late June / early July. People drive from Brandon for this every year.

Threshermen's Reunion (Austin) — Vintage agricultural equipment, parades, food. Big Westman tradition.
